Juliette Mas est archéologue, spécialiste de l’architecture domestique et de la poterie de la Syro-Mésopotamie pré-classique. Elle collabore à différentes missions archéologiques internationales au Proche-Orient depuis 2001 et est responsable de l’étude de collections inédites de matériel céramique datant de l’âge du Bronze provenant de différents sites de Haute Mésopotamie. Après avoir obtenu son doctorat en 2013 à l’Université Lumière Lyon 2, elle a réalisé un post-doctorat (2013-2016) à l’Université de Liège avant d’y avoir occupé un mandat de collaboratrice scientifique au sein du service d’assyriologie et d’archéologie de l’Asie antérieure. Elle a reçu en 2017 une bourse de la fondation Getty dans le cadre du Shelby White – Leon Levy Program for Archaeological Publications (Université de Harvard). Elle a par la suite réalisé un post-doctorat à l’Université de Tel Aviv (2018-2019). Juliette Mas est actuellement chercheuse contractuelle CNRS accueillie au sein de l’UMR 8210 ANHiMA.

Juliette Mas a été chercheuse invitée à l’INHA en 2018. Elle y a développé le programme de recherche La céramique du Bronze ancien de Terqa (Syrie) : étude d’un élément clé de la culture matérielle d’un site entre deux mondes, dont les résultats sont intégrés à une monographie prochainement publiée dans la série Études Mésopotamiennes (Archaeopress, Oxford).
