  • Session 5. Architecture as development aid. Actors, networks and mechanisms in the design of institutional buildings in the postcolonial global South, présidée par Kim De Raedt (University of Ghent's Faculty of Engineering & Architecture) et Tom Avermaete (Delft University of Technology)
  • Session 6. Examining Tropical Architecture : in different international contexts, présidée par Ola Uduku (Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture) et Iain Jackson (The Liverpool School of Architecture)

Le réseau international "European Architecture beyond Europe : Sharing Research and Knowledge on Dissemination Processes, Historical Data and Material Legacy (19th-20th centuries)", soutenu par un financement du programme européen COST (Action IS0904 (2010-2014)), tient son colloque de clôture à Palerme (Rettorato dell'Università degli Studi di Palermo, Palazzo Chiaramonte Steri ), les 13-16 avril 2014. Les organisateurs scientifiques de la rencontre sont Mercedes Volait (InVisu, CNRS/INHA, Chair de l'Action) et Johan Lagae (Université de Gand, vice-chair).

Outre une session de présentation des activités menées à bien dans le cadre de cette initiative européenne, le colloque inclut 6 sessions thématiques, regroupant chacune de 4 à 6 interventions, sur les thèmes :
